Hi, I’m Ligia! Originally from Mexico, I was a Lawyer and later a Social Media Manager in London before following my true passion—caring for dogs.

After losing my beloved dog Nina in 2022, I became dedicated to providing the best care for my other dog, True, a 15-year-old rescue terrier. This inspired me to become a licensed dog boarder, ensuring every pup receives the same love and attention.

I hold an OFQUAL Level 3 qualification in Professional Day Care and Boarding, am a certified Professional Dog Walker, and continuously update my knowledge in dog behaviour, first aid, and nutrition. Fully insured and DBS-checked, I am proud to hold a 5-star licence from Southampton City Council and am a registered member of the Modern Dog Walkers Association. At Velvet Paws Retreat, I offer a high-quality, home-from-home experience—because your dog deserves the best!
